Local gymnast has her sights set on Canadian Championships

Local gymnast Alia Wilson has qualified for the Canadian Championships. When her name was announced to the team, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. She will compete in the vault, bar, beams, and floor events. But first, she’s in Saskatoon for Westerns this weekend. It’s going to be a busy couple weeks for Alia, who will head to Ottawa for Nationals for May 21st. That sort of spotlight can be tough for a 16-year-old but her coach says that’s never been an issue for Alia, and does not expect it to become one.
